BEAUTIFUL DAYS AND HOLIDAYS

Hello!  Good morning, my friends!

It's a beautiful day, that's what I'd been thinking.
The sun finally beat the clouds out of the way.
The birds are chirping an alarm because Daisy Dog stepped out.
The beeper's going off telling me the dryer is done and all those shirts are wrinkled 'cause I didn't quite make it in time.   And Sadie is happily chewing a shoe string, the black aglet dangling two bites from being swallowed!

Isn't it a beautiful day!

The holidays are great too, aren't they?  We received a Happy Easter card in the mail from my third cousin Bridgett, what a sweet thing.  Then there's those barber salon plastic heads with brown eyes and tufts of hair given to Ian from his girlfriend from Kaye's Beauty College that on Easter day the boys took outside and used for target practice.  What a "holy" event!

As for myself, I found a misfit in a basket of Easter eggs.  White and dimpled it was.  A golf ball!

Speaking of holidays, while we lived in Elwood John also owned four acres in rural Noblesville which he passed twice a day to and from work.  So one April Fool's Day I put a "For Sale" sign on that property.   When he saw that sign he about came unglued braking and veering to enter the side ditch, then whipping it out of the ground and tossing it in the trunk!  Cha-ching!  I fooled him!

Then there's Groundhog Day.  Back around the first of the year John was exasperated with a co-worker who complains almost daily about the new president, President Trump.  Obviously she's a Democrat.  Her frustrated mantra is, "He's not my president!"

So later in the week at a morning meeting they were all talking about how Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow predicting six more weeks of winter.  In a feisty mood, "I don't put my confidence in a rodent", John told co-worker, "He's not my groundhog!"

Anyway, it' a beautiful day.  I found my lost money in the washing machine.  What can I say, it's been laundered!

Good morning gracious God.

Please bless my friends with joy and peace.
